Stainless Steel Weldoflange and A105 Nipo Flange Manufacturer in India
Flanges are devices that aid in the connection of various components like pumps, valves, pipes, etc in a piping system. The use of flanges makes it easier for a worker to clean, inspect or modify a piping system. A Weldo / Nipo Flange consists of a combination of three parts - a weld neck flange along with a nipolet and a weldolet.
In any given industry, this device is used as a type of branch connection angled at 90°, similar to both a weldolet or a nipolet. The design of a weldoflange is different on both ends. For instance, one side has a flange connection, and the run pipe side of the Stainless Steel Weldoflange is similar to a weldolet, forming a 90° brach connection. And so the branch connection is joint via welding on the run pipe side of the piping system. Similar to a weldoflange, the branch connection is welded on the side with the run pipe, whereas the opposite side of the Nipo Flange will have a flange connection. Since both these connections have welded joints, the steel used in their construction needs to be resistant to corrosion. One of the issues with welded connections is that they tend to be vulnerable to intergranular corrosion in the zone affected by high temperatures. And such devices form unstable connections in piping systems. Hence, materials such as various low carbon stainless steel are often considered for their construction. Not only are they resistant to intergranular corrosion, but a stainless steel ANSI 150 Nipoflange exhibits resistance to several other forms of corrosion. Though this property is dependent on the alloy selected and the environment of the application. For applications that require no corrosion resistance properties with moderate to very high toughness, Carbon Steel Weldo Flange is the best and the most economical option available. Carbon steels have only iron and carbon in their alloy, which makes the ASME b16.47 Nipo Flange a commercially cheaper and viable option.
