Inconel alloys are amongst those grades that perform well under high pressure, even in high temperature environment. As a group of alloys that contain a high content of nickel, the properties offered are recommended for demanding operations by Inconel fasteners manufacturers in India. There are several grades of Inconel, all of which may be suited to be used across a wide range of temperature settings. Perhaps the most common grades of Inconel screws are Alloy 600. Grade 600 is referred to as a superalloy because of its outstanding mechanical and corrosion resistance properties.
Generally used for marine engineering and nuclear energy, alloy 600 bolts resist corrosion in aqueous as well as in highly acidic environments. It has a higher creep strength, which makes it possible to be used across varying temperature ranges. Unlike steel alloys that have very little to no resistance against acids, Inconel 600 Stud Bolts exhibit resistance to various acidic solutions, including ones that contain phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and hydrochloric acid. The Inconel 600 Hex bolts are also used in applications that involve the assembly of Hydrocarbon processing plants, and flue gas desulfurization plants because of their properties. The most important benefit of using the UNS N06600 600 fasteners is the fact that they are virtually immune to stress related corrosion cracking in environments that contain chlorine ions. This is an issue that causes most steel alloys to become susceptible to failure. Because the alloy contains a high content of nickel the DIN 2.4816 600 Hex Head bolts may be used at elevated temperatures without getting corroded rapidly by oxidation. Similar to grade 600 can be used at both high temperatures and at cryogenic environments. In fact, the oxidation resistance exhibited by Inconel 600 Threaded Rod reaches a temperature as high as 980°C.
